World Gujarati Conferences
All conferences were bestowed with the presence of eminent Gujarati Diaspora from more than 50 countries and well known dignitaries, technocrats & eminent educationalists from India

Honors & Awards
An important activity of VGS which has gained appreciation of Gujarati Community world over is to felicitate well known Gujaratis by conferring different categories of Awards, honouring them and recognizing their life-long services/contribution to the cause of Gujarat.
The first two Awards were established by the kind of donation of Suruchi Trust Surat.

Humanitarian Services
Vishwa Gujarati Samaj has always risen to the occasion and responded to the cause of humanity to help Gujaratis affected on account of natural calamities.
Super Specialty Medical Camps
As a first step to community service Vishwa Gujarati Samaj has organizesd six Super Speciality Medical Camps. A team of well-known doctors of Gujarati Diaspora provided free services to the poor and needy patients.
Relief Drought & Water Scarcity
During three successive drought Vishwa Gujarati Samaj responded to the cause of humanity by providing water tanks from 1998 to 2000 to help Gujaratis.
Rehabilitation Earth Quake in January 2001
During the earth quake in Gujarat Vishwa Gujarati Samaj did praise worthy activities such as rehabilitation, building of school and organizing surgical camps for the affected people.
Cultural Programs
To preserve and propagate Gujarati Culture, Vishwa Gujarati Samaj organizes musical concerts, cultural events such as ‘Ras-Garba’ competitions, folk dances and theatrical performances, also organizes literary activities such as ‘Kavi Sammelans’, ‘Mushayaras’ and ‘Gazal’.
Promotional Activities for Industry & Trade
In view of the growing awareness of commercial activities in Gujarat; Vishwa Gujarati Samaj set up Trade & Industry Cell at Vishwa Gujarati Samaj to promote the Trade activities between Gujarat and other countries. Vishwa Gujarati Samaj organized two important seminars and two business meets;
- Doing Business with South Africa, 2005, Mumbai
- Doing Business with China, 2005, Ahmedabad.
- Vishwa Gujarati Samaj also sent business delegations to Zambia, South Africa, China and Uganda as the follow up programs of different seminars.
- NRI Business Meet, 2008, Ahmedabad
In this Meet, dignitaries from consulates of Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and China along with many NRGs remained present. - Uganda-Gujarat Business meet, 2008, Ahmedabad
In this meet Hon’ble Minister of Foreign Affairs; Shri Sam Kuteasa and Her Excellency Ms. Nimisha Madhvani, The High Commissioner of Uganda and important dignitaries remained present. Dr. Sam Pitroda, a well known technocrat, was the Guest of Honor.
